CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Many community members found themselves lacing up their skates to hit the ice for the American Bank Center's 2023 Holiday by the Bay Sunday evening.
The event put on by the city as a way to bring the winter holiday experience to south Texas.
It was full of family friendly fun, including free ice skating, arts and crafts, face painting, and food trucks.
3News caught up with a few kiddos who were excited to put their skills to use in the rink.

Holiday by the Bay has just begun at the American Bank Center.
You do not want to miss out on the festive event and you still have time to head out!
The city is offering free ice skating until 10pm.
Skating time is limited to 130 skaters in the rink for 45-minute sessions, but while you wait for your turn there is plenty to do.
The event will feature arts and crafts, face painting, and food trucks to snack at while you wait your turn.
