3News now knows the identity of the 17-year-old Miller High School student who was arrested Tuesday for taking a loaded gun and a knife to school.
According to police, the arrest was made after Corpus Christi Independent School District administrators received a tip just before 11 a.m. about a student carrying a gun and a knife. Corpus Christi police quicly found the student, identified as 17-year-old Tony Mosqueda, and took him into custody.
After searching Mosqueda's belongings, officers found the knife and the loaded gun, which officers discovered was stolen. Mosqueda was transported directly to the Nueces County Jail where he was booked on two felony counts, for carrying a weapon on school property and for having a stolen handgun, and one misdemeanor charge for resisting arrest.
