Corpus Christi (KIII News) — Sunrise mall businesses have a couple more weeks before they pack up and say goodbye to the building.
It once was the place to be in Corpus Christi and was the home of hundreds of businesses.
"I mean it was great," business owner Noe Bocanegra said. "The mall here was happening."
But over the years the Sunrise mall hollowed out as businesses left the building. And the remaining stores have to be out by November 15.
"I tell everyone come and get it," Bocanegra said. "Stock up because the party is almost over,"
Bocanegra opened the doors of War and Peace Ltd. at the Sunrise Mall in 1996.
"A lot of the stuff I have in here I designed myself," Bocanegra said.
Mall Management said the anchor stores on the outside will remain open but on the inside the only business that will stay is Factory Shoe Store which has a lease until 2020.
