TAMUK agreement to help junior college students

Texas A&M University-Kingsville signed a memorandum of understanding with Southwest Texas Junior College out of Uvalde allowing engineering students to transfer to the University with their existing credits.

Texas A&M University-Kingsville signed a memorandum of understanding with Southwest Texas Junior College out of Uvalde allowing engineering students to transfer to the University with their existing credits.

Dr. Mohammad Alam, Dean of Engineering at TAMUK, said this will help many students in South Texas begin their aspirations of getting a college degree.

TAMUK President Dr. Steven Tallant added that the agreement will not only benefit both schools, but will benefit both institutions as they are demographically and culturally similar.
