CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The jazz scene is alive and well over at Heritage Park in downtown Corpus Christi as the second night of the 62nd annual Texas Jazz Festival continues.
The event is the longest running free music festival in the state of Texas. Three stages are playing host to dozens of jazz bands, some coming from as far away as California just to play.
3NEWS caught up with the president of the jazz festival, Nick Martinez, to see how night one went.
"Come to the festival is what I want everyone to do. I want to get it crowded like it got it crowded last night. It's so wonderful to see all these people having a good time," said Martinez.
The festival continues on Saturday until midnight.
The fun will then pick up again on Sunday starting at noon!
