CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas Medical Board has temporarily suspended the medical license of a Coastal Bend OBGYN doctor who has been indicted on charges of felony sexual assault.
On Tuesday without notice, the board suspended Dr. Juan Villarreal medical license after they determined his continuation in the practice of medicine posed a continuing threat to public welfare.
Corpus Christi police arrested Villarreal on Dec. 17, 2018, with three felony charges of sexual assault.
Based on the evidence provided by police the board determined to suspend Villarreal license for the public health, safety, and welfare.
The temporary suspension remains in place until the board takes further action.
