CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas Department of Criminal Justice recaptured escaped inmate Robert Yancy Jr. at 8:05 a.m. Monday.
Robert Yancy Jr., 39, is serving a life sentence without parole for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child out of Victoria County, and now also faces felony escape charges.
Two others were arrested who were believed to have helped Yancy escape: his mother, Leonor Pristle and Russell Williams.
Pristle was charged with facilitating an escape and Williams was charged with criminal intent to escape.
