CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi City Council on Tuesday designated more than 100 acres into the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 6 to build Barisi Village, residential and commercial spaces in the Pharoah Valley neighborhood.
TIRZ No. 6 will support the redevelopment of the former Pharaoh Valley Country Club and Golf Course into the mixed-use Barisi Village.
Once finished, Barisi Village will offer public amenities, including parks, structured parking, a community plaza, public restrooms, and enhanced lighting for safety.
Developer Jeff Blackard told 3NEWS in November 2023 that his plan for the his new project is an $800 million European-style village that would include everything from a bell tower, to a wedding chapel and homes, a hotel, retail space and a golf course.
