CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Just after 9 p.m. Wednesday three empty train cars left the tracks near the Oxychem plant on Highway 361 in Ingleside.
Officials with the San Patricio County Emergency Management told 3NEWS the rail cars were previously used to transport acid, but were empty at the time.
They wanted to confirm that the train derailment was not related to today's smell.
