CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An almost-4-eyear-old case against a former CCISD teacher accused of sending nudes to a minor has been pushed back again.
Angela Barbosa stood before Judge Manuel Bañales on Thursday morning in the Nueces County Courthouse.
Barbosa was arrested in November 2020, charged with sending sexually explicit photos to a minor in exchange for a photo from the child.
She was a teacher at Galvan Elementary school at the time.
During Thursday’s proceedings, her legal team requested the trial date be pushed back 30 days to give them time to question a new witness.
That request was granted.
Barbosa's new trial date is scheduled for Nov. 13.
