CCPD: Neighbor argument leads to shootout

Two people were sent to the hospital, one with minor injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An argument between neighbors led to a shooting that sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night, officials with the Corpus Christi Police Department said.

Officers arrived at the scene on Scott Drive just after 9:30 Tuesday night. Officers say during the argument between neighbors, one started shooting. The neighbor fired back, hitting both of the first shooter's hands.

The two neighbors were sent to the hospital. One individual had minor injuries and the other individual had non-life-threatening injuries, officers said. 

One person involved was detained, but not arrested. 

There is no word on what charges will be fired in relation to this shooting.
