CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — According to a statement released by TGI Fridays on Wednesday, the restaurant chain closed 36 "underperforming locations" in effort to take part in "the brand's ongoing growth strategy".
It's the end of an era for two restaurant chains located on busy SPID in Corpus Christi.
3NEWS spoke with Johnny Carino's and learned that Tuesday was its last day of business.
This comes after the Facebook announcement from local TGI Friday's stating that it would be closing its doors for good as well.
These abrupt closures are sure to shock many in Coastal Bend and raise the burning question: What will we get next?
