CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An man died Thursday morning after he was found lying on County Road 26 near Saratoga Boulevard and Old Brownsville Road.
Officials confirmed to 3NEWS that 34-year-old Kenneth Wayne killed after being hit by a vehicle.
Department of Public Safety Public Information Sgt. Harold "Rob" Mallory said the Nueces County Sheriff's Office received a call at about 6:04 a.m. reporting Wayne was in the middle of the road between O'Neal Road and Jurica Road.
When paramedics arrived, they found Wayne had a faint pulse and could see injuries to his body.
Texas DPS are beginning their investigation and are talking to witnesses. DPS said they are investigating the case as a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.
