CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Venture Church is hosting an Easter egg hunt in addition to a 50-bike and technology giveaway, following their Sunday service March 31.
Pastor Michael Ruth and Diana Ramirez say they want you to join them at Heritage Park next weekend. The church has been putting on the event for the past 34 years, and its leaders say they love people and want to provide a space where the community feels invited to join their place of worship.
"If anybody is looking for somewhere to worship, come join us," said Pastor Ruth.
Families will have the chance to participate in a 15,000-egg-strong Easter egg hunt, complete with free prizes- TV's, Beats, and more- in addition to a bike giveaway for 50 kiddos.
"It's Easter Sunday, so it's Resurrection Sunday, that's how we celebrate it. We love to give back to the community."
Pastor Ruth said if anyone has been to their church, they know it's leaders and senior pastors are all about people. The church came together to donate the items that will be given away at Heritage Park next weekend. He says it all comes back to the growing desire for faith in the Coastal Bend.
"I see it really exploding. I think people are acknowledging God more than they ever have. I think that people are searching for something," he said, encouraging the community to find a place to worship on Easter Sunday. "Come join us, find a church to go to, acknowledge God."
The Easter Eggstravaganza will take place from 4-7 p.m. and you will have to register between 1-5 p.m. to win a prize.
