CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) — State troopers released new information on Friday's head on collision on Highway 44 that killed a 36-year-old Corpus Christi woman, Nora Lisa Uvalle.
As we reported that crash happened a little after 4 p.m. on Friday right outside of San Diego.
Officials say the driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck drifted into the Eastbound lane.
The other driver of the Nissan Altima tried to avoid the truck before the two vehicles struck head on.
Officials confirmed Uvalle, a passenger of the Nissan died on the scene.
Drivers of both vehicles and a passenger in the pickup truck were taken to Christus Spohn Hospital in Alice with injuries.
Authorities add that it was heavily raining at the time of the crash, and troopers are continuing to investigate.
