A water line break on Comanche Street today makes 4 in the same area in the last 10 days.
Ironically, city crews were already working on replacing this main line when it broke again.
The line broke this morning as crews were working on the same line and the resulting water left quite a mess.
Mike Olivarez, a supervisor with the Corpus Christi water department, says,"it's an older area where they know they need to replace aging cast iron pipes like the one that burst today."
Olivarez added, "We had a thirty inch cast iron pipe blow out again. It's a section of line that we're working on abandoning. We believe that there was a valve that's leaking which caused the line to pressure up and blow out again."
No one has lost water service and crews will be working to fix this side water line until late tonight.
