Police were dispatched to the Taco Bell in the 2200 block of Morgan Avenue Sunday night after a restaurant employee found a female in the restroom passed out with a needle sticking out of her arm.
While assisting EMS crews with the female, police were directed to another man that was in the parking lot of a nearby Walgreens. Officers investigated and found 33-year old Carl Berger passed out with a needle in his arm as well.
EMS crews were able to wake the male and officers found that he had an outstanding arrest warrant for fraud. He was additionally charged with possession of marijuana when officers found several bags of it in his pants pockets.
Berger was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital and, once medically cleared, he was taken to jail.
The female was taken by EMS crews to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
