CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man continues his recovery after falling Monday night from the 11th floor of the Omni Corpus Christi Hotel on Shoreline.
According to police, the man was on the 11th floor of the hotel when he fell to the 4th floor. The man landed on an awning and then hit a piece of plexiglass on top of the hotel, which police said ultimately saved his life.
The man was reportedly under the influence of an unknown drug at the time of the accident and charges could be pending against others in the hotel room.
"There was a report generated for criminal mischief. The room that they were staying in was damaged. There was some stuff that was broken in the room," Lt. Mike Pena said.
Police said no charges would be filed for the man who fell.
