North and south jetties damaged by Hurricane Harvey are set to get repaired

The U.S. Army Corps of engineers are making repairs to the north and south jetties.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Good news tonight for residents living out on Padre Island. The U.S. Army Corps of engineers are making some much needed repairs to the north and south jetties.

The work is expected to cost more than 38 million dollars is going to fix damage done to the jetties by Hurricane Harvey.

The jetties are owned by the federal government and maintained by the corps.
No word yet on when work is set to begin.
