The City's Parks & Recreation Department and Tree Advisory Committee hosted a tree planting ceremony Friday morning at Salinas Park to celebrate Texas Arbor Day.
15 trees including Live Oaks and Chinese Pistache were planted at the park with the help of volunteers.
The Parks & Recreation Department will also be planting an additional 80 trees throughout the park system during the fall months.
