Incumbent Sylvia Campos hung on against former Dist. 2 councilman Ben Molina on Tuesday to retain her seat as the Bay Area neighborhood's representative at council.
She will begin her second term in January.
When 3NEWS caught up with the candidates in October, Molina said one of the things he felt was important to the district is animal control, while Campos pointed to the neighborhoods' crumbling sidewalks and infrastructure.
They both agreed street projects affecting parts of the district could have been managed better, and neither supported the Inner Harbor Desalination Project in its current form.
Digital director Ana Tamez contributed to this developing story. 3NEWS will provide updates as they come available.
