SINTON, Texas — Plans to bring a $1.8 billion steel mill to San Patricio County are one step closer to being finalized.
Board members with Sinton Independent School District voted on Thursday to approve the deal with Steel Dynamics based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The plant will employee 600-people and the next hurdle is for the company itself to approve the measure.
