CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Surfers rode waves off of Bob Hall pier as a part of the South District surfing contest.
The competition is put on by the Texas Gulf Surfing Association.
The participants include men, women and children of all ages who compete all day Saturday and Sunday.
And the surfers can compete with a variety of boards such as a long board, short board, or body board.
The competitors who accumulate enough points have a chance to be invited to the Texas State Surfing Championships.
