On Thursday, Texas Historical Commission and The Downtown Management District hosted a group of potential developers, entrepreneurs and local residents as they toured downtown
It was all part of an effort to inspire people to look at investing in the downtown area.
The Imagine the Possibilities Tour showcased available downtown properties as a way to engage those potential investors, developers, entrepreneurs residents or just anyone looking to own a building or live downtown.
They would look at vacant or under-utilized properties.
The Texas Historical Commission Officials say this tour brings to life their website DowntowntTX.org.
The website gives people the chance to search for buildings for sale in historic downtowns across Texas.
Tonight's tour included properties like the Ritz theater, and other properties on Chapparal like the retail space available under the Cosmopolitan.
3 News asked people what they would like to see downtown.
"I would really like to see just more buildings even that were re-vamped with artwork on them," said local artist, Victoria Villareal.
"If there was more people around going to restaurants you'd feel more comfortable and our city would grow," resident Argentina Cortez said.
"Just the other week moonshine and ale piano bar," Juan Manual, the bar manager at Goldfish, said. "You know all of these old locations. we just need the right people to come in and their vision you know. They have to have the right vision."
Corpus Christi's portal is available on the website where the seller is listed, a price, pictures and incentives for the buyer.
