Corpus Christi police arrested a woman just before 3 a.m. Tuesday after she used a bat to assault a man in the 1700 block of Winnebago Street.
Officers found the 42-year old male victim waiting at a convenience store at South Staples and Leopard streets. The man was with his 46-year old wife. The wife told officers that the female suspect had hit her husband with a bat several times and had also attempted to hit her while they were all at T.C. Ayers Park on Winnebago Street.
Officers observed the man had a broken left arm and he was transported to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital by CCFD EMS.
A short time later, officers were able to locate the female suspect and the bat she used to assault the man at the park. The female suspect, 31-year old Kanika Lindsey, was arrested for aggravated assault.
