BISHOP, Texas — The Bishop Badgers went just 2-8 last year in Head Coach Rigo Morales's second season, but reached the playoffs as part of a four-team district in 4A-Ddivision II.
Now the Badgers drop down to 3A D-I and into a district with some solid playoff programs like San Diego, Lyford and Raymondville among others. Morales has over half his starters back, but knows the Badgers will have to improve throughout non-district play if they want to be playing down the line in mid-November and beyond.
Bishop opens the season next Thursday here in town against the London Pirates.
