CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Carroll Tigers were out on the practice field Tuesday as they get ready to head down to 5A Division II along with a majority of the other CCISD teams.
Carroll last reached the playoffs in 2017, but they've missed out by just one game each of the last two years. The Tigers need to replace the quarterback spot, but they do return some talent around the new QB including senior running back Robert Muhammad.
Head Coach Cal Neatherlin says if those guys can produce along with a solid defensive line, the Tigers have a chance to be playing in mid-November. The Tigers open the season with a couple of solid opponents in Alice and Veterans Memorial.
