FALFURRIAS, Texas — The Falfurrias Jersey Bulls are in the midst of a program turnaround, but the big question going into 2024 is: can they keep it going with a bigger district?
The new opponents for Fal includes Bishop coming down from class 4A. Jersey Bulls Head Coach coach Arturo Garcia says his guys will have to be on top of their game by the time district rolls around if they want to make it three straight postseason appearances, even with about half of their starters returning.
"You have to bring your A game every wee," Garcia said of the realigned district. "Bishop coming in. Raymondville coming in. It's going to be a challenge. We don't have the size that some teams have, but we rely on our speed and our quickness."
The Jerseys will open the season on the road against rival Hebbronville on Friday, August 30th.
