CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The London Pirates have never missed the playoffs in their 10 years of playing varisty football.
Coach Robbie Moreno's team returns about six starters on defense and seven on offense including every single skill position. The Pirates are needing to fill some holes on the lines but they're hoping that continuity overall will help them finally get past the area round and the Central Texas teams that have sent them home the last three years.
The Pirates open the season at home on Thursday, August 29th against Bishop. London's got a big district game to close the season on the road at Orange Grove, who just came down to class 3A.
