CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Ray Texans are one of several CCISD teams looking to end playoff droughts with a move down to Class 5A Division II.
CCISD is guaranteed at least three playoff spots in that district and assuming Miller is going to grab one of those, that means a couple are up for grabs between Ray, Carroll, Moody and King. The Texans last reached the postseason in 2018, when they went to the area round.
Ray has some experience back on the defensive side of the ball and hopes to get some big plays from them early as they bring along some skill guys on offense.
The Texans open the season on the road on Friday, August 30th at Laredo nixon. Ray will kick off district play on Thursday, October 10th at Buc Stadium against new district foe Gregory-Portland.
