ORANGE GROVE, Texas — The Orange Grove Bulldogs introduced their new coach and athletic director Wednesday, OG alum Jared Johnston.
Johnston is a 1991 bulldogs grad who comes back to his hometown after a successful run at Schertz Clemens. The Buffaloes reached the state quarterfinal in 2015 under his watch and he also won a state title as an assistant with Cibolo Steele.
The school held an introductory press conference for him out at the practice facility. Johnston says people have been asking about him moving from a Class 6A program to a 3A, but he says he looks at it more as an opportunity to go home that was too much to pass up.
