The Calallen Wildcats are getting ready for yet another best-of-three series with Needville in the region semis.
The longer series is a move that the 'Cats took advantage of this past weekend in a Game 3 win over Floresville. 'Cats coach Steve Chapman knows he'll likely once again have the advantage with pitching depth and hopes that'll be a factor once again when they take on the Blue Jays.
"You always like to play 2-out-of-3 if you have the pitching and we feel like we do," Calallen Head Coach Steve Chapman said. "We feel confident about what we're doing and how it's going to go."
That series will start Thursday in Victoria and comes to Cabaniss Friday. Game three Saturday is to be determined as the original location of Texas State University was unavailable due to that school's graduation.
