The top-ranked Calallen softball team is getting ready back to head to the state tournament this week to try and defending its crown.
The Ladycats were out on the practice field Tuesday before they head up to Austin tomorrow. 3News' Chris Thomasson was out at practice and talked with Coach Teresa Lentz and the players about the difference this season in being the hunted as opposed to being the hunter last year.
#1 Calallen (32-2) will face #4 Sanger (37-7) Thursday at 4 PM at the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs Field. The winner of that state semifinal will face the winner of #2 Liberty (40-2) and #7 Canton (32-8) in the 4A Championship Saturday at 10 AM.
