CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Miller Buccaneers' softball team is hoping for a playoff appearance for the first time in over two decades after a hot start to the season.
But first, they were busy taking care of business in non-district action Monday with a 13-3 win over Falfurrias Monday out at Cabaniss.
Miller got five runs in the first inning on just one hit. Mary Guzman earned the win on the mound for the Buccaneers.
Falfurrias scored all three of their runs in the second inning on an RBI single from Bree Buenrostro and a two-run HR from Jaylin Alegria.
