BEEVILLE, Texas — Beeville ISD officially split the athletic director and football coach positions, introducing both hires Tuesday at a meet-and-greet with the community.
Baseball coach and football assistant Richard Vasquez will take over as the Trojans' new Athletic Director. Gregory-Portland assistant Dave Holmgreen was named as the new Head Football Coach after coaching the Wildcats' offensive line the last three years. Holmgreen is also a 2002 Alice graduate.
Both take over for longtime South Texas stalwart Chris Soza, who announced his retirement last month.
