CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was another busy day of high school baseball and for some, their team's season was on the line on Saturday.
The King Mustangs faced the Flour Bluff Hornets in a tiebreaker for the South Zone #3 seed. King won, 5-2, grabbing the final zone crossover spot in the 29-5A South. Flour Bluff's season is now over.
The Sinton Pirates and London Pirates also faced each other. Sinton is ranked #4 in 4A and London is ranked #3 in 3A, setting up a classic between the two recent state champions.
The game proved to be exactly that. London defeated Sinton, 4-3, ending the game with a walk-off in the 7th inning.
