CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's basketball team couldn't hold a double-digit lead late in a 65-61 loss to Lamar Thursday at the Dugan Wellness Center.
The Islanders lead by 11 with 12:01 to go in the second half before the Cardinals closed the game on a 24-9 run.
Texas A&M-CC finished the game 0-13 from three-point range and 13-23 from the free-throw line. The Islanders will look to rebound from the Southland-opening loss when they host former and returning conference foe Stephen F. Austin Saturday at 3:30 PM back at the Dugan.
