CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 76-year-old woman is dead following a Tuesday single-vehicle crash in Jim Wells County.
An Orange Grove man was driving a 2010 Lincoln MKT at about 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, stated DPS Public Information Sgt. Harold "Rob" Mallory in a news release Friday, when he took a curve on US Business 281 near Alice too fast.
The vehicle left the roadway and flipped, resting on the passenger side where his wife was seated.
Elizabeth Klatt was partially thrown from the SUV.
Neither she nor her husband reportedly were wearing seatbelts.
The man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, Mallory stated, and the San Diego Highway Patrol Office is investigating the crash.
