CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — MONDAY NIGHT: Mainly clear skies with overnight lows in the middle 70s. Southeast breeze at 10-15 mph. The International Space Station will make a pass in our southwestern sky between 9:02 and 9:08 this evening; should be able to see it.
TUESDAY: Heat persists. Highs in the middle 90s with heat index values 105 to 110. Mainly sunny skies with a southeast breeze sustained between 15 and 25 mph.
LOOKING AHEAD: Upper atmosphere high pressure will continue to build over the region through the next week. That'll lead to limited chances for rain, if any at all, and persistent heat. Expect highs to top out in the middle 90s with heat index values as high as 110 (if not higher) for the remainder of the week/weekend.
TROPICS: Alex is in the Atlantic and not a threat to the CONUS. Saharan Dust is blanketing the Atlantic Basin and is forecast to move into the Gulf of Mexico by later this weekend and could be in the Coastal Bend by late in the weekend or early next week.
