Where to donate Hurricane Delta relief items to victims in Louisiana

The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce wants to remind the community that they'll be accepting donations to take to affected areas hit by Delta.

ROCKPORT, Texas — Here in the Coastal Bend, we were hit with Hurricane Hanna a few months back.

Since then, this area has dodged a few bullets. Unfortunately -- that hasn't been the case for our sister state Louisiana.

Parts of Louisiana will be impacted yet again by Hurricane Delta. Locally, the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce wants to remind the community that they'll be accepting donations to take to affected areas hit by Delta.

Diane Probst with the chamber said since experiencing Hurricane Harvey in 2017, any time help is needed, the community will lend a helping hand.

"There's a sinking feeling because you know what's happening to them," Probst said.

"You know what it feels like. You know what they're losing. You know how hard they worked to get to where they are and how it's all gonna go away. You know what the next several days, the crisis time, will be like and then you go into that long recovery process. Now, to hear that Louisiana is gonna get another one, our hearts just go out to them and so of course, we want to help."

If you would like to donate hurricane relief items, the chamber will be accepting during regular business hours:
