A cold front will move through the Coastal Bend Tuesday morning, prompting showers and thunderstorms in the area as it passes through.
The best shot for rain will coincide with the arrival of the cold front in locations throughout the Coastal Bend. There is a small chance that locations like Bee, Live Oak, and Refugio Counties could catch a stronger storm. Winds could gust up to around 60 mph and there could be some 1" hail in stronger storms....the chance for severe level storms is low, but not zero.
The time between 2a and 8a will offer the most coverage of rain in the Coastal Bend. In Corpus Christi, the best shot will be between about 5a and 8a, which means that if you are heading out to the polls early, you may not only be battling long lines, but some rain, too. Rain gear is a good idea through 8 or 9am. Rainfall totals will not be impressive, between about a quarter and a half an inch.
By late morning and into the afternoon, look for clear skies and high temperatures to top out in the middle to upper 70s. North winds at 15-25 mph, gusting in the 30 mph range.
