CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Wednesday we remembered and honored fallen Corpus Christi Police Officer Alan McCollum as the day marked the four-year anniversary of his end of watch.
Officer Alan was killed in the line of duty while assisting a traffic stop on SPID. He was hit and killed by an intoxicated driver.
He was 46-years-old.
McCollum served with the police department for seven years and was also a 21-year dedicated veteran of the US Army.
He's survived by his wife and three daughters.
A plaque bearing Officer McCollum's name can be found at the Fallen Heroes Memorial Wall outside of the Nueces County Courthouse.
