CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi residents who welcomed the governor's updates gathered at the JFK Causeway near red dot pier Wednesday evening for a mask bonfire.
About 15 residents took turns dropping their masks into a barrel. The masks were then lit on fire to signify their decision in choosing not to wear a mask anymore now that the statewide mandate has been lifted.
