CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Coastal Bend native and New York Yankees All-Star catcher Jose Treviño will host Trevi's Homecoming, a youth baseball and softball tournament this weekend!
Opening ceremonies will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday aboard the USS Lexington with paid museum general admission.
Also happening Friday, tournament participants will compete in a home run derby at Whataburger Field with gates opening at 4:45 p.m.
Tickets to the home run derby are $25 and can be bought here.
The event supports local non-profits including the Coastal Bend Food Bank and Nate's Next Kid Up.
Guests are encouraged to bring canned and other non-perishable food items to go to the Coastal Bend Food Bank.
The softball and baseball tournament games will start at 8 a.m. Dec. 9 and 10 at the Portland Municipal Park & Portland Sports Complex.
