CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Anything for Selena... but not in the rain.
The Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra (CCSO) announced that Nov. 11's "Symphonic Music of Selena" concert is postponed due to heavy rain forecasted for this weekend.
In their press release, the CCSO said that their primary concern is for the safety of audience members and performers alike, as the concert was to take place outside at Whataburger Field and feature a 60-piece orchestra, vocals by Tejano singer Isabel Marie Sanchez and several other local music groups.
People who have purchased tickets to the concert will receive an automatic refund following a three- to five-business-day processing period. Further questions about the refund process can be directed via phone to 361-561-HOOK (4665).
The CCSO hopes to resume the "Symphonic Music of Selena" concert in the spring or fall of next year. A precise date has not yet been announced.
