CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One woman is dead and two male victims are in critical condition after a shooting in Alice early Wednesday morning, according to Alice Police Department.
Matthew Garcia and Mario Jesus Alaniz Jr. have been arrested and charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
APD officials said around 1 a.m. officers responded to a shooting at a home on the 1000 block of North Wright Street.
When officers arrived they found one man lying face down in the driveway, and one man and one woman with gunshot wounds in the house.
Officials said the three were taken to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital- Shoreline where the woman, identified as Kirsten Saenz, died from her injuries. The two male victims, who have not been identified, remain in critical condition.
Alice police were searching for the two suspects after the shooting, but have since arrested both men by Wednesday afternoon.
In a social media post Alice Police Department thanked the City of Kingsville Police Department, Texas Rangers, Texas DPS, U.S. Border Patrol Criminal Investigation Division, Jim Wells County Sheriff's Department, Jim Wells County Adult Probation Division and the Alice Criminal Investigation Division for their help in arresting the suspects.
