CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Amanda Talbert pled not guilty to two charges of indecency with a child in court Thursday morning.
The Northwest Corpus Christi bar owner is accused of taking sexual advantage of young girls and grooming them for prostitution along with 80-year-old Noraier George Manassian, who is is charged with sexual assault of a child and solicitation of prostitution for a person under 18 years of age.
Talbert, who already has been indicted on the charges, was in Judge Missy Medary's 347th District Court on Thursday with her attorneys, one of whom is former Nueces County District Attorney Mark A. Gonzalez.
Gonzalez requested a jury trial on his client's behalf.
The charges stem from a joint investigation between the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and the Texas Attorney General's Office.
