CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Amanda Talbert "most likely" will spend the night in jail after being arrested Thursday afternoon.
Her attorney Mark A. Gonzalez attributed the arrest to a misunderstanding related to her bond.
The Northwest Corpus Christi bar owner is accused of taking sexual advantage of young girls and grooming them for prostitution along with 80-year-old Noraier George Manassian, who is is charged with sexual assault of a child and solicitation of prostitution for a person under 18 years of age.
Gonzalez said Talbert could be released Thursday night, but if she isn't, she could appear at 9 a.m. in Judge Missy Medary's 347th District Court on Friday morning.
If she is released Thursday night, she is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Sept. 26.
Her trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 21.
