CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 20-year-old man spent the weekend at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, according to CCPD.
The shooting happened at about 2:45 p.m. on Sunday on Archer Drive.
Police say the victim shared very little information with them about what lead up to the shooting.
He initially could not be found at the scene; that's because he was arriving at the hospital as police arrived to Archer Drive to investigate.
The injury is not expected to be life-threatening, according to officers.
CCPD did not find any other victims, but did locate several shell casings in the roadway near the shooting.
Investigators are reviewing residential security cameras and say that this is still an active investigation.
