CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department told 3NEWS on Wednesday that Joseph Comer was arrested on a warrant and burglary of a building after a blue and gold macaw was stollen from a local bird store in late April.
The owner of Feathered Friends & Co. said on Tuesday that he knew the identity of the person who broke into his shop and stole the 16-year-old macaw that had recently been surrendered to him.
"We know several of you all have asked for updates on Romeo. As of right now investigations are still in progress," read the post.
Owner Marcus Lozano said that while he was limited in what information he could say or post, he did in fact know that Comer responsible for the crime-- but not where Romeo was located.
"We need to find where he is. Keep looking. Don't stop until we find justice for Romeo," said Lozano.
